COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN (CCW) – Responding Community

All women of St. Dennis are warmly welcome to join CCW or attend as a guest at any of our events, meetings and projects! We have members of all ages from 30′s to 90’s. We also have occasional strictly social events, though anytime we get together it is a social event. Do join us; you can be sure of a warm welcome, and one or more programs suited to your particular interests!

Our only fundraiser is an Annual Christmas Raffle. With monies raised, CCW has been able to help our parish and help out with other wonderful community causes. We try to offer spiritual enrichment programs for the women of our parish, as well as educational programs and community service projects. Be blessed in letting others see that the Women of St. Dennis CCW are Christian by our love, good works and generosity.

There are five yearly regular meetings – three are held at noon and two are held at 6:00 p.m. in Fracaro Hall

Please check Sunday Bulletin, G.I.F.T. Booklet or Church Screen for further information.

SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH SERVICE – Responding Community

Since August, 2007, when our seven founding communities of Sisters of St. Joseph came together to be one as the Congregation of St. Joseph, we have experienced the abundance of God’s great love through our relationships with each other and with you.

This awareness of our many blessings prompted us to plan special “Service Days” as one way we hope to share from our abundance and celebrate with you, while also helping the “dear neighbor”. This Fall Service Day marks the beginning of the 10th Anniversary of our union of CSJ’s.

We are inviting you to participate in service with us here in Lockport. It is one of the many sites of our service days in the Midwest region of our country where a Center house exists or a Sister lives or ministers. Sr. Joanne is the convener of our Lockport, IL, service day program.

Young adults and older are invited to sign-up to serve in a paint, repair, clean-up service day in the Fairmont neighborhood. Our group will be working under the supervision of a coordinator of Will County Habitat for Humanity. Sign up on-line by visiting www.csjoseph.org and clicking on “service opportunities”; scroll down to find the Lockport “Repair, Paint, Clean-up” entry and follow the simple prompt to sign-up or contact Sister Joanne at 815 838-2592, ext. 110 or sjvallero@saint-dennis.org

Please check Sunday Bulletin, G.I.F.T. Booklet or Church Screen for further information.
