MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PROCEDURES AT ST. DENNIS

 Entrance/Dismissal

Grades 1-8:                  The first bell rings at 8:15am with the tardy bell at 8:20am
                                                 The dismissal bell rings at 2:45pm.

 Kindergarten:                Mon., Wed., & Fri.-8:15am to 11:30am
                                      Tues. & Thurs.-8:15am to 2:45pm

             AM Preschool:                8:15am to 11:15am

             PM Preschool:                12:15pm to 2:45pm

             Child Care/Ext. Care:     7:00am to 6:00 pm

 Drop off for ELC morning and afternoon students is on 12th St.
§  Pick up for morning ELC students is on 12th St. 
§  Pick up for afternoon ELC students is in the parking lot.

Children entering/leaving the ELC outside regular class hours use our 13th St. entrance parking lot.

 Grade school students are dropped off on Washington St. heading south.  Pick up is in the parking lot.  There is a possibility the pick up procedure  may change.  Please call the school for clarification.

Supply list
 Supply packets can be ordered through the school during the spring of each school year or a listmay be requested.  Please call the office if you did not get one in your packet. 

Calendar
 A monthly calendar is sent out with the newsletter in the family folders.  An overall yearly calendar is sent out during the summer.

Family Envelopes
 Pertinent information goes out weekly (on Thursdays) with the youngest child in the family.  Please take the information out and return the empty folder with your child the next day.

Lunches
  Students bring their lunches or order from the hot lunch program.  Menus and order forms will go out monthly.  Orders and payment for the entire month must be received in a timely manner.  
 FAST FOOD LUNCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED. 

Milk
Milk is available to purchase for students in Kindergarten to 8th grade.   Order forms will go out at the beginning of the school year.  A drink with your child's lunch needs to be provided until milk begins.  Please refrain from sending pop.  Milk fees are included in the Preschool & Child Care tuition.  Extended Care after school students receive juice, included in the fees.

Uniforms
There is a uniform dress code and gym uniform at St. Dennis beginning in First grade.  Please consult the handbook for information.  The information may also be provided at your inquiry or registration time.  We do have a free uniform recycling system. Please call the school office for details.

Consult the school calendar for 1st day of school and beginning and ending times on that day (usually a half day). Annual calendars are set at the end of the school year and may or may not be available when you read this.
