·         LAST CHANCE! Parent Surveys:  Please take a few moments to submit the Parent Survey required by the Diocese.  You can access it through the school website at www.saint-dennis.org.  Deadline for submission is midnight Friday, October 10, 2008.

·         Give Something Back Foundations Scholarships: This year, 6^th graders only may apply for the GSBF Scholarship.  You can find the application and additional information online at www.GiveSomethingBackFoundation.org.  All applicants must attend a College Cost Estimator seminar (dates are posted on the GSBF website). Please turn all application materials in to the school office; applications will be accepted November 12-December 17, 2008.

This link is extremely helpful for students and parents who are interested in preparing for the EXPLORE test.  There are actually sample questions right there, in addition to a great deal of other pertinent information.  As a reminder, JCA also offers the Pre-test Workshop for 8^th graders and parents on the Wednesday evening prior to the Placement Exam.  Attending this event really helps parents and students to get rid of those pre-test jitters.  This year’s Workshop will take place on Wed., December 3, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

Eighth grade parents are also invited to attend JCA’s Decision 2009!  Making the Right Choice on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 6:30PM in the Library: Joliet Catholic Academy, 1200 N.
