Entrance/Dismissal
Full Time Kindergarten and Grades 1-8:
   The first bell rings at 8:00 am with the tardy bell at 8:05 am
   The dismissal bell rings at 3:00pm.
Kindergarten Alternative Schedule-
   Mon., Wed., & Fri.- 8:00 am to 11:00 am
   Tues. & Thurs.-8:00 am to 3:00 pm
AM Preschool - 8:00 am to 11:00am
PM Preschool - 12:00pm to 3:00pm
Child Care/Ext. Care – 7:00 – 8:00 am & 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Drop off/Pick Up
Drop off and pick up for ELC morning and afternoon students is at the 12th St. entrance.
- ELC students entering/leaving ELC outside regular class hours use 13th street parking lot entrance. Grade school students are dropped off on Washington St. heading south.
Pick up is also on Washington St. heading south.
Supply list
Supply packets can be ordered through the school during the spring of each school year or a list may be requested. Please call the office if you did not get one in your packet.
Physicals
A completed physical/immunization form is required by the state for all new preschool and grade school students and students entering Kindergarten and 5th grade. A completed dental form is required by the state for all new students and students entering Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grades. Kindergarten students are also required to submit a completed optical form.
Calendar
A monthly calendar is sent out with the newsletter in the family folders.
An overall yearly calendar is sent out during the summer.
Family Envelopes
Pertinent information goes out weekly (on Thursdays) with the youngest child in the family. Please take the information out and return the empty folder with your child the next day.
Lunches
Students bring their lunches or order from the hot lunch program. Menus and order forms will go out monthly. Orders and payment for the entire month must be received in a timely manner. Drinks are not included in the hot lunch price.
FAST FOOD LUNCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Milk
Milk fees are included in the Preschool & Child Care tuition. Extended Care after school students receive juice after school, which is included in the fees. Milk is available to purchase for students in Kindergarten to 8th grade. Order forms will go out at the beginning of the school year. A drink with your child's lunch needs to be provided until milk service begins. Carbonated beverages are not allowed.
Snacks
The ELC is a PEANUT FREE facility. Parents will be provided with a list of peanut free snacks to bring to school. An after school snack is provided for children in child/extended care.
Uniforms
There is a uniform dress code and gym uniform at St. Dennis beginning in First grade.
Please consult the handbook for information. The information may also be provided at your inquiry or registration time. We do have a free uniform recycling system. Please call the school office for details.
